With everyone of my dozen AVI-8 watches, there is a story. This was probably the first one that was not related to a particular plane or pilot or occassion, so it was a 50/50 call with just a tentative link to the pilots who flew in WWI as the ‘hook’. However, I have not been disappointed and it has fast become a favourite. The web strap is very easy to wear (I wish every AVI-8 watch came with a web strap option) and the watch has a great look to it. Combining the red and the blue and then the patterns in the centre dial, means I have a ‘day to day’ watch rather than another one to wear when I’m going out. Great call to buy this and often get the temptation to buy the green version, but holding off for now.

A lovely looking watch either in the nice presentation box it comes in or on your wrist. It’s not too big but doesn’t look lost on my large wrist. Good vision at night as well. Another winner
