Love this Peice
This time piece looks amazing! I have gotten tons of complements on it the few times I have worn it. Love the stealthy blacked out aesthetics and the leather band is actually a good quality. Many times you see leather bands on watches and you can tell right away its not real leather or it feels terrible. I am glad to say that is not the case here. I ended up ordering the Gold and Green one as well. They both look amazing.
Disappointed
Was way too dark to see and certainly still way too dark trying to read at night ( should have better nighttime illumination).. nobody needs to be that stealthy.. can't use it & apparently can't return.. bummed
SLATE BLACK spitfire chronograph review
Watch Review: Stylish but Functionally Challenged I've been wearing this watch for a couple of weeks now, and while it boasts an undeniably sleek aviation design, there is one certain practical shortcoming. Primary issue with this wristwatch lies in its dial indices. While their slate black color looks intriging and adds a modern touch, it significantly hinders legibility in low-light, evening conditions. This makes glancing at the time a challenge when you're in dimly lit rooms, outdoors during sunset, or when wearing sunglasses. This drawback becomes especially apparent during activities where checking the time needs to be quick and effortless, which is the one key requirement of pilots watch. As a aviation pilots watch the contrast between the dial and the indices simply isn't strong enough to ensure visibility, especially under compromised lighting. On the positive side, the watch’s build quality and design are commendable. It feels solid on the wrist, with a band that balances comfort and durability. This watch excels in aesthetic appeal and craftsmanship. The picture and video shown on the website is enhanced and is not a true representation of the dial. As a result, I found myself in a hate love relationship with this time piece. I wish if they indices and all the other markings on the dial are made with the same shade of white as the date which at 6 o'clock position, leaving the slate black dial in the background. Making it a simple white on slate black. The watch back case should also be coated in black to match the outside case. And instead of showing the spitfire propeller on the back, it would be much apparent if it could show a top or a side view of the aircraft. I hope my reviews be taken in a positive and constructive way and hope to see a watch with this new variation.
Ad and received prodct is very different
The markings on the dial are very dark, much darker than in the advertising photos. It's difficult to read in normal lighting conditions, and the overly reflective curved glass doesn't help it either. The product received is very different from the advertisements, I can't use it in this form, it's a waste of money for me.
Slate Black
Poor contrast makes it quite difficult to read. Pictures seem to accentuate contrast compared to the real item. Also the case/bezel is thicker than expected. I didn’t look closely at specs so bad on me. I wanted to return the item, but return shipping is not covered, and returns HAVE TO be shipped to Hong Kong. Shipping is almost the cost of the watch, so I’m stuck with it. Unimpressed.
