At AVI-8 we pride ourselves in shedding light on important events and people throughout aviation history. Through a collection of exclusive collaborations, we've been fortunate enough to bring attention to the remarkable feats of aviators whilst giving back to communities whose stories we draw inspiration from.
AVI-8 was incredibly proud to announce the partnership with the Royal British Legion for their centenary year in May 2021. Each timepiece sold helped raise funds for this extraordinary charity and support the crucial work they do for those who serve and have served in the British Armed Forces and their families.
To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Daily Mail Transatlantic Air Race in 1969 won by Tom Lecky-Thompson in Harrier XV741, AVI-8 worked closely with renowned aviation restoration company Jet Art Aviation to produce a series of limited edition timepieces.
AVI-8 was honoured to announce the release of a line of limited edition timepieces in partnership with British charity Help for Heroes. Funds raised were used to provide lifetime support to those wounded in the service of their country. Every course and activity offered from them aims to empower veterans to look beyond illness and injury, regain their purpose, reach their potential and have a positive impact on society.
With an outstanding 1,500 units produced to commemorate the 40th anniversary of the Falklands Conflict, every timepiece sold will contribute to the Royal British Legion and support those who serve and have served in the British Armed Forces and their families. Today, the charity continues to stand with the Armed Forces community and challenge injustices to ensure all those who have served and sacrificed on our behalf get the fair treatment and recognition they deserve.
Crafted to exacting watchmaking standards, this limited edition timepiece features a 316L steel case with a unidirectional turning bezel, Swiss luminous hands and indexes, and a supple genuine leather strap. Unique details nodding to the Royal British Legion and the Falklands Conflict are subtly placed throughout the watch, such as on the dial, hands, and crown. The final result is a durable and stylish timepiece that gives back to those who served.
