AVI-8 was incredibly proud to announce the partnership with the Royal British Legion for their centenary year in May 2021. To commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Daily Mail Transatlantic Air Race in 1969 won by Tom Lecky-Thompson in Harrier XV741, AVI-8 worked closely with renowned aviation restoration company Jet Art Aviation to produce a series of limited edition timepieces.

AVI-8 was honoured to announce the release of a line of limited edition timepieces in partnership with British charity Help for Heroes. Funds raised were used to provide lifetime support to those wounded in the service of their country. Every course and activity offered from them aims to empower veterans to look beyond illness and injury, regain their purpose, reach their potential and have a positive impact on society.

Often referred to as “the founding fathers of American combat aviation,” the 38 pilots of the Lafayette Escadrille who flew for France beginning in 1916 before the United States entered World War I, were the very nucleus of the U.S. Army Air Service when it was formed in 1918.
AVI-8's tribute to the Lafayette Escadrille is a true compliment to the spirit of the Flyboy, the colloquial term used to describe these dangerous, rakish, courageous and patriotic warriors of the sky.
In imagining a watch bearing the Lafayette name, AVI-8 uses design bookmarks from the late 1910s to 1920s, fused with practical and modern watch mechanics and precision.
